It is only on stage that signs of romance between Baby and Robin take shape. Every time Baby Hood cries, excepting in the first scene when her mother is on stage, it is Robin Hood's sleeve that she tugs on. He in turn, always pats her head to comfort her. He came up with the idea that she should smile charmingly every time the family sings "Oh Baby" in their anthem "Stay on the Trail". Ranger Rooney does her best to dispute any idea of a romance going on between them declaring, "No, Robin only pats her head since he observed mother doing it. There's no way my little Robin is going home with that little hussy!" (p.s. that is a direct quote from Sam)
There is one incident worth noting. In a desperate, futile attempt to get her beloved to notice her, the young wolf sat in front of him during one of our speeches today. We had dismissed the girls to go get a drink of water and instead of merrily tagging along with her compatriots, the wolf girl forced herself up into a backbend to look back at Robin and coquettishly, if also quite awkwardly, said "hi". He looked at her disbelievingly and told her she was supposed to get going. Another incident: said wolf girl asked if she could throw out her lemonade. I told her she could, but she ambled away with no sense of urgency and took far too long to return. Baby could tell I was angry and I couldn't help but notice her satisfied smirk.
Who knows what new drama show day will bring to episode 3 of "The Hoods".
