McWow

So several of the kids in my cast this week have appeared as extras on "Smallville".  Another one of them is going to next week.  As I am sure you are aware, many films and TV shows film in Vancouver.  "Smallville" is one of them.  Laura is one my assistant directors (and a really sweet, enthusiastic one) and her sister Caitlin is a scout.  Their uncle is the director of photography.  Laura recently spoke to Tom Welling on the phone.  I told her she should call him and tell him to come to the show.  Shirnest said she was would throw up.  I think I would just get totally star-struck and not be able to say anything.

And while we're on the topic of attractive men, I wonder if you live in one place for more than a week you manage to meet as many men as Meredith Grey seems to on "Grey's Anatomy".  By the way, it is my terrible habit of watching that show until way past my bedtime that has kept me away from my blog.

Today I taught the seasiders, who were a much more pleasant group than last weeks, and there are only fourteen of them instead of twenty seven.  When the prince comes on stage, we have him shoot a look to one of the seasider girls and have her faint in to arms of the person next to her.  Well when I gave that away today, one of the other girls said "Oh great, so she and the prince are like a thing!" and I said "No, you all love the prince, she is just the most boy crazy."  "Well she is!" said girl number one.  "Am not!" said fainting girl.  "Yes you are!  You have GUY friends!" Turns out these girls are sisters, which I could immediately tell once they mentioned it.  But to think!  Fifth graders with friends of *gasp* the opposite sex!

Also our prince this week is HILLARIOUS.  After he tells the dragon to try the breath mint which is "curiously strong" and the piano chimes a high C, he mutters, in a very Mr. Movie Voice kind of way "Caution, some side effects may occur."  Of course, this was all his idea.  It's one of those freckles, like Little Lovable stealing Red's cape that week back in Oklahoma, that is just begging to be kept...

Oh yeah, if you don't know I am in Canada.  And it's great. But don't call me, because I won't answer my phone.  But comments, emails, and skyping are all encouraged :-)
