I am currently staying in a very very large and luxurious house up on the edge of a cliff overlooking what I am pretty sure is the Puget Sound. I have a king size bed and an en suite bathroom with tartan wallpaper. And that's the guest room! Shirnest is in the master suite and I am SEETHING with jealousy. The show is ENORMOUS and there is a separate tub that is twice the size of your typical jacuzzi...Guess that might have to make up for the fact that there is no hot tub at our homestay this week (the past two weeks I have had one!) They do have a firepit though, which I am super excited to make use of.
Today is exhausting because we went down to Seattle yesterday, stayed with friends down around there last night, got up at 5:30 to get back on the road by 6:30 to drive up here and do three workshops before auditions and rehearsal this afternoon. At least we will be free for the rest of the week during the day! (aside from the dreaded costume laundry, which we plan to do tomorrow so we can hang out with the people from my last homestay, only about twenty five minutes away on Wednesday!)
Seattle is a cool city. I went to the original Starbucks, which was a pretty fun experience. I am not a huge Starbucks fan really, especially out here where little drive-thru espresso huts run rampant, but going to the original with the ugly but cool two tailed mermaid logo and everything was neat. We also saw "The Dark Knight" in imax. Shirnest hadn't seen it at all yet and it blew her mind. Before that I had some of the best sushi of my life. Word to the wise, go to Shiro's on 2nd and Wall for some good times and good japanese cuisine. The people who run the restaurant are actually japanese, unlike many places around where I live where they are korean or vietnamese. Only complaint? I wanted more!
