kid flu

We have the most inconsistent cast I have ever worked with.  They are very talented.  And a lot of them are smart.  But MAN they must have multiple personality disorder because the rockstar kids from Wednesday were replaced with crazies for all of Thursday and half of today then poof! second rehearsal session we ran through the show in less than an hour and got to drill the words to the "Prince Perfect Edition" of the "Perfect Holiday" song.

I am getting sick.  We were short one town crier today.  She is apparently coming down with the flu.  I hope that I am not (though the good thing is that Beth and Shirnest are team replacement temporarily, and Shirnest can bail me out, should I become deathly ill- and she won't be alone like she was- more or less- when I was puking my guts up all day long in Canal Flatts).

I had a site visit today, but I didn't even get to hug my boss as he attempted to give me a hug as he was leaving, for my hands were being held by a seahorse who was telling me that he wanted to make a costume bag for me.  I don't know how I do it, but I always manage to become pals with the kid who was driving me crazy during their first rehearsal (he was the seahorse who's name I HAD to know).  Anyways the kids were still in crazy mode and a wall fell down, but you know what? I think Brendan and I exhibited some real team work and had a lot of fun with the kids, so it's all good.
