For all I know our rooms were donated by the hotel...I know that hotels do that for communities bringing MCT in sometimes...

colorado
First thing that happens to me in CO: my uber-cool hotel room with king-sized bed, little breakfast table, and couch turns out to be a SMOKING room. UGH! So then I get switched into a room with 2 queens, no table and no couch. Sad day. Then I go downstairs to talk to the very very nice lady at the front desk (who is probably not much older than me) and I ask her if either Sam or I could get a mini-fridge in our room and how much it would cost us, figuring whatever the cost, it's gonna be better than eating out every single meal this week. Her solution: she felt bad about the smoking thing, so tomorrow I am being upgraded to suite. Mind, I need to double check and make sure it's not going to cost us (or rather, the Art's council who is paying for our rooms) any more money, but by around 11:30 tomorrow morning I should be basking in a luxurious suite, complete with mini-fridge and kitchenette.
